Los Angeles, CA -- There is nothing artistic about this shot, but the fly is a masterpiece and it had to be posted.This photo was taken in a neighborhood, overlooking the Pasadena Freeway in LA. I wonder what the neighbors think? There is no question what kids think about a blue Diptera in the front yard! Oh, and by the way, the mouth is made out of the grill of an old, Chevy truck, and the antennae are two golf clubs.

Made me think about the Blue Ant Corporation logo from a William Gibson novel I read a few years ago. Obviously this is something every garden needs.

That is brilliant and HUGE. I think the reflection in the eye is very artistic. Love the dry grass around it too.
Glad you all like it. The artist also had a giant dragon fly on his driveway. I will have to include it next time.
That is awesome, I've never seen anything like it. I wouldn't mind if my neighbors had that, I'd think it was fun/funny.
