Girls Pose at Pink's

Hollywood, CA -- Girls put on their best face for a quick shot at Pink's Hot Dogs in Tinseltown.

Since 1939, Pink's sports some of the best hot dogs around. The venerable hot dog stand also attracts millions of out-of-town visitors. On a typical weekend, expect a wait of up to one hour, but ask anyone, and they will attest that the wait is well-worth the dog.

Olvera Street Eats

Los Angeles, CA -- One of my favorite places to eat. The food is excellent, but as I was reminded last night, my taste for their cuisine probably has a lot to do with my 40-plus year family tradition. We still frequent the brick and cobblestone tourist attraction at least ten times each year.

Olvera Street is the oldest street in Los Angeles and is home to the oldest house standing in LA, the Avila Adobe, built in 1818.

Supersize that Trash of Truth

Reality hits when you can no longer see your belt buckle, the lady renewing your drivers license at the DMV asks, "Are you still 150 pounds, sir?" and you have a trash can dedicated to discarded, fast food cups in your garage.

I turned 48 today and have only gained 12 pounds in eight years, so I have a goal to find that belt buckle, replace Taco Bell cups with water bottles and to replace that fat with muscle. A tall order but I think I'll survive.
