Pasadena -- Given the right conditions, a quick hike up the mountain at night--and a full moon--can pay off in dividends. 

Full Moon at Bass Lake

Near Yosemite National Park -- Bass Lake is nowhere near Los Angeles, but many LA folks visit each summer, including our family making this our 47th-annual vacation.

Last night we enjoyed a full moon during dinner and just had to share this scene on Daily Photo LA.

This was a 30-second exposure using natural light, except for the flood lights shining on the sails.

Pasadena Water and Power

Yesterday, while driving home, I couldn't ignore the last gloaming of the evening sun with the watchful moon above. The hazy light beautifully shone both on the industrial as well as the natural, as seen against the pastel blue foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains.
