Shoes on the Brink
Yosemite, CA -- More legs (carrying over a theme from yesterday). This time, I included a group with colorful shoes on the edge of Vernal Falls in Yosemite National Park. I shot this photo shortly after three youths went over the falls, 316 feet, to their death.

Wipe Out

A Piece of Heaven Above The Heat
Yosemite National Park -- Los Angeles is experiencing a heat wave this week. Palm Springs was 115f degrees while suburbs in LA was a cool 107. What better way to beat the heat than to rise above the traffic, the concrete and menagerie of people and just be...?At the bottom of the trail leading to Cathedral Lake is a sign with the words of John Muir after visiting this area in 1869, "This I may say is the first time I have been at church in California."

Full Moon at Bass Lake
Near Yosemite National Park -- Bass Lake is nowhere near Los Angeles, but many LA folks visit each summer, including our family making this our 47th-annual vacation.Last night we enjoyed a full moon during dinner and just had to share this scene on Daily Photo LA.
This was a 30-second exposure using natural light, except for the flood lights shining on the sails.
