Was that her husband? They make the most hap-hazard webs. I had one as a pet.

It is amazing to me how scary a black widow spider is! This photo is amazing and it gives me goose bumps ... I hate spiders!

You can't stop thinking about me.

I know.

I found her on my deck in the back yard. I protected her until I had kids over, then I transplanted her to a more safe location.

Funny, I even had a "tea party" with her.

Issh. I see the black widows in Arizona. They make their home by water, such as by the hose. I can't imagine how you got so close to take this photo.

Our house is full of black widows, especially my office. Any digging around in the back of filing cabinets or behind desks is done wearing gardening gloves. Despite toxic sprays, electro-frequency transmitters and two cats, they continue to thrive. (How is it cats can eat poisonous spiders?)

On the bright side, this is the only place I've ever lived in SoCal that has ABOSLUTELY ZERO roaches, pincher bugs, silverfish, crickets, or any other insect pests. So at least the lethal ladies are earning their keep, eh?

The photo, post, and comments have completely freaked me out. Spiders scare me ....especially the Black Widows.
