What ever happened to adventure?

Great photo! We live on one of LA's beaches, and are always astounded at the amount of "stuff" visitors bring by the shore -- like if they were moving their living room, playroom and entertainment center all on the sand. Backpack and sense of adventure, anyone?

You are so correct. People go camping to "rough it," but take more and more stuff from home to make it less of a "roughing it" experience.

I cannot imagine dragging my TV along, especially one that large. Those kids should be playing ball or swimming. What is this world coming to.

Ha-ha! My son's been going fishing up at Convict Lake with a friends family for several years now. He much prefers camping in their fully equipped trailer than with us in a tent. Seeing your photo made me wonder what these boys will be saying about their kids when the time comes. Will the next generation shun the electronics and go back to nature...or will it be some unimaginable new-fangled thing that they'll drag along.

Doesn't the tv contradict the whole point of camping?! That makes me worry more about our socitey :)
