Nice pictures, very funny. Have you ever seen Jack Delano's photos from the state fairs in the 1940s? I'm a big fan, worth a Google!
Great shots. I used to go to the LA County Fair, participated in the Table Setting competition for seven years, and one year a Tabasco cooking contest (took second place). It is so much fun, I love the animals, especially the pigs. Our other favorites are the wine tasting and horse races. I think I'll go again next year...

Fabulous, Johnny.....simply fabulous.
It had been a few years since I'd been to the fair last. We missed the pigs this year, instead, concentrating on other livestock including a sheep giving birth. Pretty amazing!
I checked out Jack Delano's photos as suggested by SP. They are an inspiration for next year. Thanks, SP for the heads-up.
