Overlooking Long Beach

Long Beach -- Congestion is part of LA's identity. Most towns by the Pacific Ocean are even more condensed as in this photo of downtown Long Beach and the LA Harbor. Look closely and you can see the Queen Mary with her red stacks as well as Catalina Island in the background, about 26 miles from the mouth of the harbor.

Love this shot JT. Where did you take this one from? Went over there a year ago. Drove through San Pedro as well on the way over there.

Superb shot. Using a really good telephoto?

Luis, I took this shot from atop Signal Hill near Long Beach. I've posted other photos on Signal Hill.

Zeder, Welcome to DPLA, and thank you for the compliment! I am now following your site.

Tash, I shoot with a Nikon D90 (cropped sensor) and was using a 200mm lens, making it an "effective" 300mm lens.
