The Mexican Border

This morning, I cross into what some consider a "war zone." For those not involved with drugs and/or prostitution, they should be fine. I sell components to manufacturers, one of which is in Tijuana about five miles south of the Mexican/USA border. So far, I've not run into trouble, but still it's always a good feeling to cross back onto American soil. See you on the other side...

It's an ominous shot. So sad. It used to be fun to go down the into the Baja peninsula and explore the coast.

JT, you sure do get around.

Petrea, This shot truly is ominous, especially when taken during the "Magic Hour" of dusk and with the patrol choppers overhead. My customer in Mexico warned me to always keep my wallet and cell phone in my pockets while driving, just in case I am carjacked, which is the most common crime with tourist and business people. That's not what I wanted to hear but I'm glad I heard it--I took his advice.

I'm back in Pasadena now, safe and very thankful!

Wow, JT, that doesn't sound good. I'm glad you're back and I hope when you go to Mexico you're driving a crummy car.

Please be careful, JT. The reports we hear in the news speaking of the border areas are very frightening.
